CCIL's environmental policy is as folows:

Producing the Ethanol with provision of safe and pollution free environment system both for internal as well as external surrounding areas.
Considering and reviewing the impact of Ethanol product activities on the environment.
Establishing procedures in accordance with the regulatory requirements for assessing the impacts on the Environment.
Taking positive measures for continual improvement regarding the safe and healthy Environment in the CCIL premises and neighboring communities.
Reviewing the objectives and targets as per defined in the object sheet.
Environmental Policy
CCIL is committed to running its business in an environmentally sound and sustainable manner. We set goals for continuous improvement in our development, sourcing, manufacturing, and transportation activities. As part of that commitment, we take a long term and life cycle view, continually improve environmental performance, minimizing waste at source, recycling and reusing material and chemicals, recovering biogas to be used as fuel for boilers, communicate openly with our stakeholders and report regularly on our performance.
EFFLUENT AND WASTE MANAGEMENT.
A specialized Effluent treatment plant tackles the leftover residue from the distillery. This Porserpol-designed system cools and settles the waste before the pumps transport it to large digesters. Here, a natural process breaks down the material and produces biogas, a clean-burning fuel. This biogas powers the distillery itself and generates additional electricity. After treatment, the remaining liquid waste meets specific environmental standards and is safely released. Meanwhile, solids are separated and cleverly recycled back into the initial stages, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
